Florida Unemployment Rate is Up, But So Are Job Opportunities

FLORIDA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS UP, BUT SO ARE JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Florida has hit a record-breaking number of 500,000 jobs available, along with that, 40 counties have a greater number of job opportunities now than they did pre-Covid-19 pandemic! The highest job demands are for the following career paths: sales, consumer services, health care, and finance. Though Florida has more jobs open now than they did prior to the start of the pandemic, the Florida unemployment rate has gone up slowly month by month according to the National Conference of State Legislatures

During an interview with Gulf Shore Business magazine Jerry Parrish, chief economist of the Florida Chamber Foundations said “We’ve got more open jobs than we have people looking for jobs” as astonishing as that sounds. Within the next decade, Florida is expected to have the 10th largest economy in the world!
