NEW BUSINESS FOR BUSINESS CARDS?
Business cards are the tried-and-true method of making sure your new connection, acquaintance, or contact has your information. However, studies show that 88% of business cards handed out get thrown away in less than a week according to statisticbrain.com. But that study also showed that sales increase by 2.5% for every 2,000 cards that get passed out. Perhaps it is time to rethink the way we use business cards or the mode of them. Digital business cards are becoming increasingly relevant in today’s world.
Whether is because of the ease and effectiveness of use or because they save money and trees, people are jumping on board. With digital business cards you can share them with the tap of your screen, as an email attachment, a QR code, as a text, or more! Another perk of the digital cards is that you can import the contact information all from that one tap, no more misread phone numbers! Along with that, you can add links to the business cards such as your website, LinkedIn, or social media. Perhaps businesses could marry the wo worlds and add a QR code to the digital business card on the back of the physical card. No matter which option you prefer, it is safe to say that business cards are still an effect form of networking.
