TCG In The News: Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana Expanding Into Florida
People aren’t the only thing flocking to Florida from the Northeast, New England’s famous dining landmark Frank Pepe Pizzeria is making its way down the east coast with the help of TCG’s Chris Barney and Sam Dalton. With signed leases in both Plantation and Delray Beach, both Broward and Palm Beach Counties will soon get the opportunity to indulge in what many say is the best pizza in America.
As of 2021, there are twelve locations in the Northeastern US with a flagship location which is known locally as “The Spot.”
Over the next five years, TCG will be taking Pepe’s statewide into additional expansion markets that include Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, and more. In addition to Florida, Frank Pepe’s is also growing in Austin, TX, and the greater Washington DC area.
Frank Pepe Pizzeria is named after its founder who was an Italian immigrant and opened the first establishment in 1925 in New Haven, CT. Pepe’s is renowned for creating its signature coal-fired, charred-crust “apizzas” as well as the forever popular “white clam pizza.” Frank Pepe knew that only a coal fire could give his “tomato pies” their famous crisp, charred, chewy crust.
