Under Review: Immokalee Road Corridor Congestion Study

Currently, Collier County is evaluating different intersection concepts in order to enhance traffic operations and ease safety concerns. The county is already seeing a great influx of travelers on the road and only anticipate more in the future. County officials anticipate alternative solutions to the increase in users include roadway and intersection improvements, traffic signal coordination and network improvement opportunities. Today, the traffic volume on Immokalee road is 43,400 vehicles per day. By 2040, traffic volume is expected to grow by 67% by 2040.
