Broker Story: Kim Daugherty
In this new series, we will be celebrating ten years of TCG by looking inwards to our brokers that have made these ten years so successful. Kim Daugherty is an Advisor with TCG. We interviewed her to get insight on her beginning at TCG, what sparked her interest in CRE and her proudest accomplishments in her career.
- How long have you been working at TCG?
I have been with TCG since 2013.
- What got you interested in CRE?
My husband loves real estate and had his own company at one time. He always took me on drives to look at land on the weekends, I was mainly just interested through him. Once I started in this business, I found myself enjoying helping people find suitable locations. I feel very protective of my clients and always strive to do what is best for them and their pocketbooks.
- What was your first breakthrough lease/sale?
Truthfully, I don’t know. My concentration has always been on my clients and what I can do for them.
- What has been your biggest individual accomplishment working in CRE?
Getting referrals from previous and current clients. It means that they trust me and that I was helpful to them, and that is pretty awesome. It doesn’t have to be a large deal or worth a lot of money, the fact that they trust me enough to refer me… That is a big deal to me.
- What lease/sale are you most proud of?
I don’t really have one. As I said before, I enjoy CRE because I enjoy helping people find locations for their businesses. I also enjoy learning more about the changing market of real estate and I enjoy meeting the other brokers around town.
