Broker Story: Tony Mangione

In this new series, we will be celebrating ten years of TCG by looking inwards to our Brokers that have made these ten years so successful. Tony Mangione is a Principal with TCG. We interviewed him to get insight on his beginning at TCG, what sparked his interest in CRE and his proudest accomplishments in his career…

  • How long have you been working at TCG?

I have been working at TCG 10 years since its inception in 2011.

  • What got you interested in CRE?

I fell in love with a girl who lived in Naples and she introduced me to Dan O’Berski. The rest is history.

  • What was your first breakthrough lease/sale?

Little Caesars at the Bed Bath & Beyond Plaza on Airport & Pine Ridge in Naples. This was the first deal that I completed ‘cradle to the grave’ and it proved to be a springboard for my career. Although the deal only garnered a $3,000 commission it provided invaluable lessons for me from all the parties involved: Luis Velez at Little Caesars (Tenant), Clint Sherwood at IPC (Landlord Broker), Kristina O’Keefe & David Donato at Continental Realty Corporation (Landlord)

  • What has been your biggest individual accomplishment working in CRE?

I don’t believe I’ve accomplished anything of significance individually, but as a team I’m proud of the influence and impact we have on client success, which is the only way that we measure our own

  • What lease/sale are you most proud of?

I’m a deal junkie and proud of most all the deals I get to participate in; however, I’m particularly proud of a bundled branch consolidation/acquisition I was involved in that included property in my hometown of Grand Rapids and my backyard in Florida, which was mutually beneficial for both clients.
