Broker Story: Ty Hensley

In this new series, we will be celebrating ten years of TCG by looking inwards to our Brokers that have made these ten years so successful. Ty Hensley is an Advisor at Trinity Commercial Group. We interviewed him to get his insight on his beginning at TCG, what sparked his interest in CRE and his proudest accomplishments in his career…

How long have you been working at TCG?

I’ve been working at TCG a little over 3 and a half years.

What got you interested in CRE?

My dad was a local business owner, and I was fascinated by his business selection and the lease process. I got an internship with TCG during college and never looked back.

What was your first breakthrough lease/sale?

My first “big” deal.

What has been your biggest individual accomplishment working in CRE?

My biggest accomplishment in commercial real estate would be finding a property where I was able to roll my commission plus some into the deal to have part ownership.

What lease/sale are you most proud of?

The deal I’m most proud of is the first big sale I did on my own which entailed representing an owner/user to purchase a 12,000 SF retail building in Cape Coral for $1,275,000. There was an issue with the title which made the 90-day deal turn into a yearlong process. It was very rewarding once we got it across the finish line.
