Tampa, Florida is known lately as a powerhouse for national sports teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Rays. Other attractions to Tampa include Busch Gardens, an array of museums such as The Museum of Art or the Museum of Science & Industry, as well as the Florida Aquarium. As of late Tampa has experienced a hike in the cost of living naming it the 24th most expensive city in the U.S. to live in, according to a study done by Zumper. In 2020 Tampa was named the 36th most expensive to live in, with that being said, the jump to the 24th most expensive city in the 2021 report resulted in it being the fifth-highest jump. This report also noted that rent in Tampa had a 24% year-over-year increase meanwhile the national average for rent has gone up 12.1%.

Tampa is not only growing in residents but also businesses. Tampa was listed amongst the best cities to start a business in according to a study done by WalletHub. This can be accredited to the fact that Tampa has the 19th best business cost and the 24th best access to resources out of 100 cities across the nation.
